About the Studio
Sacha van den Haak (Noorden, 1980) is an experimental graphic designer and spatial maker. In addition to his commissioned work for the cultural sector, Sacha makes installations about everyday phenomena with a magical character. For example, his installation 'the blue hour' followed the sunset over the entire width of the equator via a live stream of webcams, and with the DD/MM/YY project he captured the light of day by innovating using silk-screen technology. Sacha has been working independently since 2017 and is working on partnerships to implement his interdisciplinary ideas.
Sacha studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, after which he continued his career at the KABK Studio and later at Studio Dumbar. Together with Floris Schrama Sacha worked under the name Kok Pistolet for five years, in wich time they made a name for themselves in the Netherlands due to the pronounced and liberal character of the work.
